Our team of aviation insiders have the remarkable capacity to make the complex seem routine. You tell us what needs to happen. It happens.

One of the most widely known and respected professionals in the aviation aftermarket, Steve Manley is universally recognized as an industry expert. His combination of aftermarket industry knowledge and ability to apply intuitive solutions to complex asset dispositions has allowed Steve to become known throughout the commercial aviation industry as an effective problem solver. He is frequently asked to speak at industry conferences and to lead seminars and workshops at industry gatherings.
Steve attended Middle Tennessee State and Memphis State before starting his career at FedEx. Like most of his industry peers, he was exposed to several areas of maintenance and engineering throughout his tenure at FedEx. It didn't take him long to realize that his ability to find previously overlooked opportunities was unique and led him to create a brand of his own.
Steve founded Universal Asset Management, Inc., in September of 1992 on the premise of providing expert solutions to overcome a diverse commercial aviation asset disposition market and to establish long-term relationships with its clients and vendors. Undoubtedly realizing the success of his approach, Steve and UAM have become synonymous with "creative solutions." Fifteen years later, Universal Asset Management has disassembled over 175 airplanes and grown to a professional staff of over 40 people. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, UAM has facilities in Atlanta, Phoenix and Arkansas totaling more than 100,000 square feet.

Brian Postel is from a "parts family." Fresh out of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1983, he went to work for his father's company, Dane Aircraft. There he restructured warehouse operations and purchased spares for Dane's domestic and international clients.
Since then, Brian has constructed a resume that reads like a guide to the commercial aviation aftermarket. Some highlights include work with Aeroserv International, Allmat International (Pan Am), High Line Aviation, Avgroup Atlanta, Occidental Aviation, A/C Fuel Cells, and Avatar Alliance.
At UAM, Brian is responsible for aircraft, engine and major packaged sales and leasing activities as well as acquisitions, both domestically and internationally. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology as well as an F.A.A Airframe & Powerplant License, and is a recipient of the FAA Bronze Award.

As Chief Operating Officer of Universal Asset Management, Keri oversees the day to day management of company operations and provides guidance for all UAM Divisions. Keri is also responsible for UAM capital asset management, redeployment and allocation. Keri and her staff of qualified managers are accountable for client relationships involving managed commercial aviation capital assets as well as the sale and lease contracts for those assets.
Keri graduated from Purdue University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Professional Flight. She completed her Masters of Science Degree in International Aviation Operations from Purdue University in May, 2006. She currently holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate and is a Certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor. When her schedule allows, Keri is a flight crewmember of the UAM company turbo-prop aircraft.

When Bryan was making night landings on 1,300 foot strips with no lights in the Alaskan winter, he found it helpful to know more about his aircraft than just how to start and fly it. Bryan utilizes the skills he has learned so when something breaks, he can assess the problem and provide an effective solution. These skills have served him well since joining Universal Asset Management, Inc., in 2002.
Bryan started flying right out of high school, and took his first commercial flying job in 1993, on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. Later moving to Western Alaska, Bryan spent the next four years flying everything from a single engine Cessna to a light twin and a Metroliner. He was an IOE Check Airman, as well as one of only two medivac pilots in Western Alaska, accumulating over four thousand hours in four years. In 1998, Bryan joined Air Wisconsin, flying a Dornier 328 out of Denver. He later transferred to Chicago where he served as a captain for a year and a half. He was hired by United Airlines early in 2001 and served as First Officer on the Airbus 319/320 until the retraction following September 11 of that year. Bryan has over 7,500 hours of flight time and two type ratings.
At UAM, Bryan oversees a team of highly knowledgeable and motivated industry experts. Their reputation for generating results has earned respect from airlines and third party providers around the world. He provides support and strategic planning with clearly defined short term and long term goals for UAM and its clients. His tenure in the aviation sector makes him an invaluable resource.

As Controller, Laura works with a qualified team of accountants and asset managers in the day-to-day operations of all financial activities. Under her guidance, UAM and client portfolios are analyzed daily. Her department is also all financial obligations and forecasting.
Laura is a CPA with a Bachelors in Management from Auburn as well as a Bachelors in Accounting from the University of West Florida. She brings to UAM over 20 years of professional experience in a variety of settings and industries, most recently including:
Accounts Payable Manager responsible for entire AP function for the domestic and Puerto Rico operations of an $81 billion a year pharmaceutical giant.
Accounting Manager for a large multi-specialty physician practice where she oversaw Accounts Payables, payroll and administered the pension plan.
